Phillip joined the Dameron Burgin Law Firm in 2001. Prior to joining the firm, Phillip worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the North Carolina Department of Justice. His primary practice area is medical malpractice defense. In addition, Phillip also has an active appellate practice and local government law practice. Phillip has represented clients before the North Carolina Superior Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, the United States Federal District Court in the Western District of North Carolina and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

 

Phillip is a graduate of North Carolina State University (B.A. 1991, cum laude) and the University of North Carolina School of Law (J.D. 1994, The Order of Barristers).

 

Phillip is a is a member of the American Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association, where he serves on the Medico-Legal Liaison Committee.  Phillip is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the North Carolina Associate of Defense Attorneys.
